Community Relations

Through corporate philanthropy and community building initiatives, we help strengthen communities and encourage a culture of community service among our employees and retirees. On an annual basis, Paslode employees contribute their time, money, and effort to the organizations listed below.

United Way

United Way is Paslode’s charitable organization of choice. We believe our alliance with United Way enables our dollars to reach farther and have the greatest impact possible. The monies raised through our 3-for-1 employee matching program contributions and event dollars were distributed to over 20 local United Way agencies. In 2008, $40,000 was raised.

Junior Achievement

Paslode participates in Junior Achievement programs that use hands-on experiences to help young people from kindergarten through high school understand the economics of life. We provide volunteers who donate time each semester to schools where our business units are located. Participation in the Chicagoland Bowl-A-Thon is a highlight for employees.

Habitat for Humanity

Paslode has equipped volunteers to help build local homes, as well as repair in regions that have suffered devastating hurricane damage.

Lake County Haven

The Lake County Haven is ahttp://paslode.com/WorkArea/edit.aspx social service agency dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless women and children by using education, employment, and life-skills training to help people move from homelessness to independence. Every holiday season, Paslode seeks to brighten the holidays of the Haven’s women and children with donations of gifts and winter clothes.
